Background: Malocclusion is an abnormal condition from the normal relation of the teeth to the other teeth in the same arch or the opposite arch. Malocclusion can affect the presence of dental caries due to food impaction, and result difficulties in self cleansing the teeth. The prevalence of malocclusion is quite high in adolescents. Objectives: The aim of this research was to determine the effect of malocclusion to the presence of dental caries in adolescents of junior highschool in Cimahi with malocclusion according to Angle classification in 2015. Materials and Methods: This study was an analytical study using cross sectional design. A total subjects were 98 adolescents (12-14 years old). The subjects were selected using cluster random sampling method. Results: The results showed that the prevalence of malocclusion is 79.6%. The most common malocclusion was Angle’s class I malocclusion and from maloclussion condition through all subjects reach the caries prevalence of 56,42%. Base on maloclussion condition itself, it was found that 27 subjects (48,05%) having dental caries in Angle’s class I of malocclusion, 12 subjects (75%) in class II and 5 subjects (100%) in class III. Conclusions: The study concluded that malocclusion influence the presence of dental caries. The most severe of dental caries condition found in Angle’s class III of malocclusion followed by Angle’s class II and Angle’s class I of malocclusion.
